Our Aim is for Newham Community Transport to be a community where all residents with mobility needs are able to retain their independence, access to good quality services, undertaking everyday essentials and engage in community life in a setting of their choice.
East Excursion Club
Our Excursion membership is designed to enable individuals, who are living in the London Borough of Newham, a chance to enjoy a lovely day out to places of interest, such as seaside towns, garden centres, manor houses, and so much more.
The Club is especially designed for individuals over the age of 60, and those with disabilities, a chance to maintain their independence and enjoy trips out throughout the year, with other members of the club. It’s an opportunity for them to make friends, and meet new people, which helps combat loneliness and isolation within the elderly generation.
We currently run 3 programs throughout the year. For Spring, the programme lasts from February-April. For Summer, the programme lasts from June-August. For Winter, The programme lasts from November to December.
Past destinations have included Southend on Sea, Hampton Court Palace and Christmas lights tours with members collected and returned directly to a secure pickup location in Newham.
